The USS Grayling (SS-209) Memorial is located in Sloan's Lake Park at the corner of 17th Ave. and Sheridan Blvd., Denver CO. 

The Grayling Memorial honors all Submarine Sailors who have given the ultimate sacrifice and are on Eternal Patrol.

The Memorial was Planned and constructed by the Mile High Diggers Chapter of Submarine Veterans of World War II.

The Memorial was dedicated on August 8, 1976 during the 22nd Annual Convention that was held in Denver that year.

In September of each year, the Rocky Mountain Base holds a "Tolling Of The Boats" ceremony at the USS Grayling (SS-209) memorial to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives while serving abord U.S. Navy submarines.

Tax Deductible 501(c)3 Memorial Donations Account

The US Submarine Veterans' Charitable Foundation established the Memorials Fund to act as a tax deductible means to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair of submarine related memorials, Many of these existing memorial sites were originally constructed, repaired and maintained by SubVets of WWII, but most are being turned over to the USSVI Base volunteers that devote their precious spare time to insure the presentability of our heritage. In addition, USSVI is building additional memorials and some bases carry our maintenance work on USN Museum Submarines.
